Hi, I am having Major difficulties getting my new blade belt on. It is a 42" belt, but doesn't stretch to the main Pulley. Is there a secret way to accomplish this? I would appreciate any input on my dilmna. Thank You....... ~~Scott
Replacing the belts on the tractors can be a task. I found some information for you that I am hoping will help you out. I am adding the link below to help you with your question while you wait for your expert response. To better help your expert, I would like to suggest adding your model number. The model number is normally under the seat of the tractor. It may take your expert 24-48 hours to respond. I do hope that this will help you put the belt back on the tractor.
If your tractor uses an electric PTO clutch then the belt is hard to get onto the pulley. A spring pulls back against the belt, so it has to basically be forced onto the pulleys and the belt is always tight. If your tractor uses a manual PTO to engage the blades (a lever) then the belt should be easy to put on as long as the PTO lever is down (off position).
Check the model number under the seat and let me know what number that is so I can tell more about your model and maybe see what could be going on.
