dishwasher cabinet

this is a new install not replacement.do i have to buy a cabinet,the space is on a wall,tight fit but is big enough,can't i just stabilize then frame front sides with strips?it is a maytag jet washer,i know plumbing and electric need to be done,existing water supply from an antique washing machine and wiring already there.

As long as you stabilize the dishwasher it does not have to have a cabinet around it. The dishwasher will be noisier during operation, but it will be functional. Make sure you follow all other installation instructions in the installation guide for your dishwasher.

If you do not feel confident installing this dishwasher yourself, then you can have it installed at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
