Philips projection HDTV Model 60PL9200D/37

The unit is showing the picture fine, other then it being black and white. Went through the settings and everything is setup right. Looking for step by step informaiton to what could be causing the problem and what part or parts might be needed.

When it comes to projection HDTV it can be really confusing to understand the setting without any instructions. While you are waiting on an expert to answer your question, I was searching and found your owner's manual in the Mange My Life website. You can also set service with a Sears technician. I have attached the link below. Have a awesome day!

The problem with the TV is the color wheel. The color wheel spins and light shining through it produces the color on the screen. With the TV having no color the color has probably disintegrated. You might be able to remove the lamp of the TV and see a almost glitter effect. The color wheel is part of the light engine and a new light engine is not available. You might be able to have yours rebuilt of be able to find a reconditioned one. The cost for either option would start about $600 and go up from there.

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
