I know that many repairs can be difficult and confusing, and it helps to have the right instructions. While you are waiting for your expert answer, I did some research on the issue. I was not able to find the specific instructions for removing and replacing the stator, but the expert will answer within 24-48 hours hopefully with more detail. However, I was able to find a link that will show you what and how componenets need to be cleaned. I hope this helps.

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the tractor. I will be happy to assist you with replacing the stator. I have found a video that shows how to replace the exact part. Click here to watch the video. You can clean the ignition coil and the magnet with a piece of sand paper. Just make sure you clean all of the debris you sand off.

I hope this is helpful. If you need further assistance, please reply below with more details.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Thank you for using Manage my life.

I recommend using brake cleaner because it will not damage the coating in the ignition coil. You just want to make sure there are no metal fragments stuck to the magnets on the flywheel. When cleaning, do not forget the magnets on the underside of the flywheel.

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
