I love my old gas kenmore dryer #11097581200. We cleaned it completely, however it is tumbling with no heat. Is it correct, that for my dryer the thermol

fuse should test 0 for continuity? Also, specific to my model, what are the other parts I should examine, what should they test at, for a proper diagnoise and repair. Thanks!!!

Diagnosing Dryers can be difficult. While you wait for the expert to review your model, you can check a similar questions from a previous expert post if you like. I attached the links below. If you do decide to have a technician diagnose and make repairs, an option is to visit Sears Home Services and use the handy scheduler.

The thermal fuse should show 0 when checked for continuity with a meter.

Just to be sure we're on the same page you'll note that while the meter probes are not touching anything, the multimeter will indicate a reading of infinity. A reading of infinity means that the circuit is open.

When you touch the two probes together, the reading changes to zero. A reading of zero indicates that the circuit is closed or complete. A complete circuit is one that can conduct electricity; an open circuit cannot.

When the two probes touch the two terminals of the thermal fuse you should get a 0 reading.

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
