I think it is the overload relay, part #67005560. If you agree, thanks for instructions to replace this part. Also, thanks for a list of any other parts I should examine for replacement to fix this annoying problem. Everything is cooling & freezing fine, with just a little bit of water in the drain pan.
I can understand that your refrigerator is making a loud buzzing noise and it can be a concerning issue. However, I have taken some time to research your question here on the Manage My Life website and someone else had asked a similar question with a posted response from an expert. I attached the link below if you are interested in viewing. I hope the link that I provided is helpful.
Thank you for your question. I can understand your concern about this clicking sound. Yes, this does appear to be the relay/overload making the clicking sound. Since the compressor does start and cools ok after it starts, it should be ok. To replace the relay, first disconnect power to the unit. Now, pull the unit out far enough to remove the back panel cover. With the cover off, you will see the compressor (# 8 in picture) and mounted on the side will be the relay/overload and capacitor. It appears the capacitor will now be included with the relay/overload part number listed. Remove the original relay, it plugs on to the compressor and reverse the process to replace the new one. It should be the same. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.
