How do I get the little box of the back of the inside of the fridge to defrost the tubes inside?

In this case, the timer (# 4 in picture) can be advanced into the defrost cycle. Under the control housing (# 12) will be a small hole and inside the hole will be the timer knob. Use a small screwdriver and turn the knob slowly until it clicks and the unit stops running. It will now be in a defrost cycle. After a few minutes, open the freezer door and if you can hear a sizzling sound, it will indicate the heating element is on. This will indicate the timer # 482493 is not advancing and will need to be replaced. It's available at SearsPartsDirect . To help speed up the defrost process, you can use a hair dryer on the frost that has accumulated on the back wall. I hope this will help you.
