While you are waiting for your expert answer, I did manage to find a link that will provide you with some good information to help you with your quesiton. I am also adding a second link in where you can enter your appliance model number and the owners manual will pop up in where you can find some warranty information. I hope my links are useful.
there are little tabs on both the box and the drawer the stop drawer from being pulled out to far some are sheet metal some are spring steel you have to push these little tabs down with small screwdriver or pick. slightly push slider back so the stop is not tight against it be fore pushing tab. IMO take drawer off slides then remove slides form box. you likely will have to re bend tabs up if the sheet metal kind so drawer does not pull out and land on you tootsies when you open it in a hurry. sorry my boxes are not readily available to take pictures of at this time it appears that some are different then either of the above types some ball bearing drawers have little tabs to lift /push down " * If you pull the drawers out there full length, you should see two black tabs to release the drawer glide. * Push one up and the other side push down and then pull the drawer out. * The drawer glides are a snap type. I would suggest that you use a rubber mallet to tap on the tabs that hook into the drawer to remove. * The glides are held into the cabinet with a tilt and snap type of installation just like the drawers."
To remove the slider mounted to the toolbox, you need to remove the drawer from the rails.I am sending you 2 images showing how to remove the drawers on most Craftsman tool boxes. One of the methods should work on your rails. The warranty on most Craftsman tool boxes is 1 year. I don't think your toolbox will be covered.
