diswasher has power and latch appears to be working but it will not start
Manage My Life is a great site to get the kind of do it yourself help to save you time and money. A suggestion I have to help the expert provide a better answer is to add the model number of your dishwasher to this thread. If at any time you decide you would like to have an experienced technician visit to diagnose and make repairs, an option is the Sears Home Services link below.
From the information you do submit I suspect the problem is the thermal fuse or bi-metal.
Not all model dishwashers have a fuse.It might also be a loose wire nut on the power connection at the junction box behind the kick plate. Be sure to turn the power off before accessing the junction box.You can reply with a model number for further information. Thanks for the response. My dishwasher model # is 665 13743K603. I checked the wire nuts and they are secure. The unit is definitely getting power - the high temp, sani rinse and heated dry buttons will light up if you push them - but none of the other buttons with light and nothing happens when the start button is pushed?
