Thank you for your question.I can understand wanting to know how to free motion stitch. You do not have to have a special mode for free motions stitching.
Thank you for the update. There are no special mode settings to do free motion sewing. You just use a straight stitch setting (01) and drop the feed dogs. It will take some practice to get the pace of how fast you move the material and how fast you pushing the foot control. If the machine will sew a good stitch normally it will not change for free motion stitching. It just takes practice. I would suggest that you have a practice piece to work with. Thank you for using Manage My Life.
I am so sorry that your machine will not give you nice stitches when free motion stitching. I would suggest setting the machine back for regular sewing with the feed dogs back up and balancing the upper and lower tensions so you get a good looking stitch and then try it again. If you have done free motion stitching before, I can understand your frustration because you have had success in the past. But if you are doing this for the first time it took my wife a good day of practice before she would even attempt a stippling free motion stitching on her quilting project. I wish you well. Sam A.
