Door does not stop at bottom 139.664000
I'm sorry about the difficulties that you are experiencing with your garage door opener. I did some research at managemylife.com and found an expert answer to a similar question that may assist you until your expert can respond. I have attached the link below. If you would like assistance from a qualified technician I have also attached a link to searshomeservices.com. I hope these links will help until your expert can respond.
Your opener is very old and only the common parts such as nuts, bolt and screws are available. The limits are controlled by micro switches. It is quite likely the switch that stops the motor in the down direction is bad. You can remove the cover from the motor unit and check this but I strongly advise that you first unplug the opener as the motor will start if you move these switches.
This sounds like a problem with the limit switches on the opener. You can unplug the opener from the wall plug and access the switches to see if one is damaged or if the wiring to them has broken. Due to the age of this machine you will likely have problems finding parts for it as most of them are no longer in production.
