I have 4 rockers in my home, 2 glider rockers in the lanai which are simple wooden structured like the old time rockers and 2 reclining swivel rockers in the living room, which are covered with upholstery. All 4 will squeak at most times but more often when my wife wants to relax and rock, which is when I am asked "IS THERE ANYTHING YOU CAN DO TO MAKE THIS STOP SQUEAKING"? So I have taken them apart and cleaned them up and sprayed all the moving parts and joints with WD-40, but soon after the squeaking returnes. Please help me get some peace and quiet, thank you. PS, each rocker has an accompanying foot stool glider which haven't given me any trouble, so far.
Thank you James and Sam as my problem no longer exists. I did wax anywhere the wood met and greesed all the moving metal parts and now we are rocking in silence. A little tip if I may, I used an arasol spray called white greese I baught a Wall Mart for the metal parts and it worked very well. Thank you again from my wife and myself.
