Just won't start spinning. Pump continues to run.
If the control detects that the washer still has water in it even though it is apparently dry, the control will continue to run the drain pump and will not go into the spin model. If the tub is completely dry, you could have a problem with the water level pressure switch or the control board. This would normally cause an E21 error code on the washer. I provided the technical information for this washer in the image below. The washer will normally signal an error code with a series of blinking lights on the console when the washer will not go into the spin mode. I recommend that you continue to allow the drain pump to run for a while and see if an error code will appear. This will normally indicate the likely failed component that is causing this problem. The information below is intended for technicians. Follow electrical safety guidelines if you use this information. Unplug the washer to disconnect electrical power before accessing internal components. Some of the checks below call for live voltage checks. I do not recommend that you conduct this type of test on the washer. Live voltage checks should only be conducted by a service technician.
You can also run the diagnostic test procedure that is described in the technical data below. This may help you check the washer components. If you need more help, resubmit your question with additional details (error code indicated). If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician.
