I have a Kenmore refrigerator model number 106.9555682. Water is no longer coming out of the in-door dispenser. When the lever is pushed I can hear a hum, but no water. I am on city water. The ice maker was working fine so water was getting in through the inlet valve. I do not have a water softener and so far I have not found any water filters on the refrigerator.
This refrigerator does not have a water filter. The issue may be caused by the water line in the door getting too cold and freezing. Try taking the toe panel (lower front panel) off, locating the water line that runs through the lower refrigerator door at or in the hinge. There should be a connection at or near this point you may use to disconnect the two ends of the hose. Place the end coming from the refrigerator cabinet into some sort of container and press the water lever. If water comes out the line is frozen or blocked inside the door. If no water comes out it may be the micro switch at the water lever or the inlet valve.Other causes of no water dispensing:
