My ProForm Crosswalk Treadmill 490 LS model number 29161.0 has started to go full speed the minute you put the red key in slot, it is NOT the console. One day I went to use it and the minute I put the key in the slot the machine turned on and went 12 miles an hour. The only thing that would shut it off was to pull key back out of slot. It did this consistently so I then assumed it would be the comp. console. I ordered a new one and didn't even install it, just tried the key in the slot and same thing happened. What else would control that?
The model number you gave me is incorrect or incomplete. I cannot give you any specific information on this unit without a complete model number. I have included a portion of an owners’ manual that I think may be similar (See below). This section discusses the settings on the console. NOTE: I intend for this to be a rough guide only. Try the troubleshooting I have included and if you require further assistance please resubmit question with a complete model number and more details. I will be looking forward to helping you again in the near future.
Landell E. Thank you for your response. As far as the model # goes I went and looked at it again. I will include everything on the little sticker. Model# 29161.0 120V. 60Hz 12A. Serial # P70397273 2/02. Hopefully this is all the info you need. The only other thing I can think of is that the "6" in the model # is possibly an "8". Very hard to tell. As far as your answer goes, there was/is no "portion of the manual for troubleshooting" included. This is not a very user friendly site as I had no where to respond to you. I am assuming you will see this and be able to respond back to me. Please let me know if there is another way to respond directly to you. Thank you, Toby
