The refrigerator side will not cool. I read that the auto defrost needs to be "reset". I can't find this part under the front or in the rear (panel removed). The model number is 363.50242000.
This model of Kenmore refrigerator has a mechanical defrost timer. It is shown in the drawing below. There is not a reset for this type of mechanical timer. It can be advanced manually but that may not be necessary based on your symptoms. Your details imply that the refrigerator side is not cooling even though the freezer side is. If the freezer is cooling then the defrost timer is not stuck in the defrost mode. Check the inside back wall of the freezer for ice or frost. This could indicate that you have a defrost system problem. If the freezer is cooling okay and you see not excessive frost on the evaporator then it is likely that the timer and defrost system are working properly.I recommend checking for items that could be blocking the air flow from the freezer to the refrigerator. The air flow is shown in the second image below. Make sure that the evaporator fan is blowing properly. You should feel some cold air flow into the refrigerator from the freezer when the compressor is running.Look for cracks or leaks in the refrigerator door seal gasket. Make sure that the light is turning off in the refrigerator when the door closes. These tips may help you determine the cause of your cooling problem in the refrigerator. If you need more help, resubmit your question with additional details.
