My cat sleeps with one eye open and I was wondering if I should be concerned.
This is fairly common and is nothing to worry about unless your cat begins to have some sort of specific problem with their eye.
The only problem that may occur may be dryness of the eye. If your cat begins to have some sort of eye infection, I would take it to the vet, but otherwise it's not a problem. Many animals sleep this way and it's called unihemispheric sleep. It is done for survival. Ducks and dolphins also do this and it is common for cats to do this as well.It is a normal occurrence.Member
