Craftsman 139.53681B remote opener will only open garage, but won't close. I have to use pad 2 close
The remote only works one way - to open the door. It can open the door but when I try to close it the lights blink 10 times but nothing else happens. So I can't leave out of the garage because the door will remain open. I can only close the door from the panel inside the garage!

The light bulb is flashing as a warning something is not right. You can close the door with the wall station because you are over riding the safety sensors.
Look at the sensors each should have an led light and be on. Not flashing off or flickering. Most of the time these simply get bumped an need to be adjusted. They should point toward each other. If there is no obstruction and they are pointed toward each other than the wiring is bad or the actual sensors have gone bad. Try the wiring first. They are polarized.
