my garage door, 139.53513 is the model. My remotes will open but not close wall works fine
139.53513 model 3081v00672 vin nbr wall button works fine both remotes open but wont close i do not have sensors, did it come with them..bought the house 1yr ago..

The infrared safety sensors were an option on this opener. Back then it was not a standard.
Try turning up the down force. It is on the side of the opener. This turns up the power the opener uses to operate the opener. Do not turn this all the way up. Do a 2x4 safety reversal test afterward, especially since you don't have sensors. If this does not work for you invest in a newer system. If you have kids or pets then I would surely get a new one.
