How do I re-program my keyless entry on my Craftsman garage door opener 139.53976srt.

Keyless entry was working fine then just stopped. When I enter the code it blinks about 40 times. Remotes work fine. I replaced the 9v battery just in case. Not sure on part number on Keyless entry. It has number 0-9 and enter key. Also * & # signs.

The blinking on the keypad is normal. It just lets you know it has sent the code and you can still hit enter when it is blinking instead of the code again.

Lets try reprogramming the keypad. Find the red or orange learn button on the opener head. Press and release this button and within 30 seconds enter the 4 digit code followed by the enter button. The light bulb on the opener should flash once to let you know it has been accepted. If it does not flash or if it still does not work and the remotes work fine then you will need a replacement keypad. If it does not program or if it programs and kicks one of the openers out then you will need a new logic board. You can get replacement parts at searspartsdirect.com, click on the contact us icon for help. We also recommend a surge protector on all openers. Thanks BB

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
