Will Craftsman garage door opener remote model 139.53753 work with my LiftMaster garage door opener?
I have already asked this question once and may not have given the correct model number of the remote. The garage door opener is model 1265LM, the remote model could be any of the following: X2028,139.53753,HBW2028 or craftsman 315. This remote did not come with the garage door opener. Can I code this remote to the door opener? I have tried a few times to only mess the codes up on the 1 door opener and the keypad that does work. I will only try it again if the remote is compatible to this opener.

Chamberlain does make the Craftsman garage door opener that uses this remote. Chamberlain also makes the LiftMaster garage door openers. The model number 139.53753 is the number that we needed to access information about the Craftsman remote. The instruction sheet for this remote is shown in the first image below. The second image shows the programming instructions for the LiftMaster garage door opener 1265LM that you have. The garage door opener uses the Security+ remotes. The Craftsman remote is a Security+ type of remote. The Craftsman instruction sheet indicates that it should work with any 315 MHz garage door opener with a purple LEARN button and a yellow indicator light on the motor unit. I am not able to see the color of the learn button or the indicator light on your motor unit. I recommend that you check this information to determine whether the remote may be compatible with your system. If you do have a purple LEARN button and a yellow indicator light, you may want to try one more time to program the Craftsman remote to work with your garage door opener. I recommend that you change the batteries in all of the remotes and erase all of the codes and program everything from the motor unit if you attempt this process. I provided the rest of the programming procedures and the remotes that are listed for your LiftMaster garage door opening in the third image. This should help you program the remote if it is compatible or find a compatible remote if it is not.
