my half horse power garage door opener is p/n 41a4315-70, I don't see a model number. this unit has sensors, and my old one didn't (I would like to take them out of the equation) I seem to have three choices to wire to, and I have tried all the combinations I could think of
I believe this unit has a green learn button on the back of the motor unit and three screw type terminals. If I am wrong describe it to me in a resubmit. I only have access to craftsman model numbers(139.xxxx).
First of all you can't eliminate the sensors. If you try the opener will not close the door at all.The devices on this unit are polarized, which means that the wire is coded for tracking. The #1 and # 2 terminals are for the wall station. The colored wire connects to #1, and the white to # 2. If you have this backwards then the wall button will not light up, simply reverse them. The #3 is for the safety sensor and the #2 is shared between the safety sensors and the wall station. The colored wire goes to #3 and the white to #2. This is the only way to wire this unit.
