garage door opener 1265LM, remote TX2028.Can not code to opener. Are they compatable.both craftsman

1265lm is a liftmaster product and I could not find tx2028 in our database so I don't believe it is either. I do know that an 81lm is what would come with or replace an original remote. Openers operate on specific codes even the same brand if not sequenced right are not compatible with other ones in the same brand. This opener is a pre security plus opener I believe. If you can't find a remote for it Chamberlain(makes liftmaster and craftsman) has a universal remote called a clicker that will work any opener. Thanks BB
