how do i reset the keypad code for a sears garage door opener 139.53641srt w/kepad 53776?

This would be a good time to replace batteries.
There is a colored learn button on the motor head. You can erase all old codes out by holding this button down until the led light by it goes out. ----To reprogram a remote press and release this button and then press the button on the remote. The light bulb should flash. For multiple remotes repeat from ----. For an outside keypad press and release the learn button and then enter the 4 digit code followed by the up/down button. Again the light bulb should flash. Now only the remotes you programmed can operate the door. Thanks BBJoin this conversation.
