Garage door opener 139.53635srt opens almost all the way, starts to buckle and then will close.
I'm not sure what to do about the garage door. It starts to buckle when it is almost open at the top then the door reverses and closes. I can open and close it manually. The Model number is 139353635srt.

You might want to check the condition of the door. Does it have a reinforcing strut across the top panel? This is not an area that openers act this way. At this point they are only lifting 5% of the door weight and have nothing to do with it buckling unless it is not reinforced.
If it stops opening and then closes by itself without you touching anything then this is a problem that i would unhook it from the door until I replaced it. An opener should never close by itself even if it is running in to trouble, never. Thanks BBJoin this conversation.
