There are a number of products for this application.

-Strong-tie has a crack injection resin

-pc concrete has an epoxy

-Rust-oleum has an epoxy

-silka has an epoxy.

I'm sure there are many more brands but they all do about the same thing. They are fairly stable but also pliable enough to grow and shrink with the temperature.

I would cut the old wood out of the surface and fill up the void with an old garden hose up to about 1/2 to 3/4 inch from the top of the space and then fill in on top of it with the resin epoxy. The reason for the hose is that it is a clean surface to adhere to and also fill in this space since this stuff is usually pretty pricey. If it settles in to a valley you can come back and add to the top as long as it is clean. Thanks BB

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
