Model 139.53635SRT door opener will not go down when wall control pressed if temeperature about 60.

Model 139.53635SRT door opener will not go down if temp about 60 - immediately light just blinks. If I hold wall control button it will go down though light blinking. With remote just blinks cannot hold remore button. It works fine when temperature is higher on both controls. Have tried to adjust force with no luck. Could chain or drive sprocket need lubrication? If so what should I use?

When you can hold the wall station button down and it will go down but not with the other ways you stated it indicates that there is a safety sensor issue. By holding the button down you are bypassing the sensors safety measures only. Make sure there is no debris or anything that would mess with them around. Make sure there is a light on each of them, especially if it starts acting up. They might of been bumped and need realignment or the surface(track or wall) they are attached to is not secure enough and are letting it move. These sensors sometimes do fail and need to be replaced too. If you need a pair you can go to searpartsdirect.com for a pair, or your local sears. Make sure and have a surge protector on the opener too. Also turn down the force settings and do a 2x4 safety reversal test. Thanks BB

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
