What should I put in my window box now that it is fall?
I'd like some help as to what I should put in my window box now that it's fall (in the Midwest). The box gets a mix of sun and shade. Thanks!

Here are some plants that you can consider using in your window box for fall in the Midwest:
  • Pansies
  • Chrysanthemums
  • Hydrangea
  • African Daisy
  • English Ivy
  • Common Ivy
  • Weeping Brown Sedge
If you are going to overseed the lawn with rye grass to keep it green, I recommend that you consider the Pansies mixed with ivy to retain a green look.

If you are not going to overseed the lawn and it will go dormant, you should consider the Chrysanthemums mixed with ornamental grasses such as the Weeping Brown Sedge that will provide fall colors.
