I have a Sears Garage Door Opener model 139.655000, I bought a Craftsman Remote Control Conversion Kit -- 53683, I can not program the remotes to work.
First of all you will need remotes that operate on this frequency too. If you already have them then this external receiver is to be plugged in and tell your opener when to open and close. You will need a spool of bell(2 wire)wire long enough to reach from the opener to the outlet. There are two screws on the inside of the receiver. Strip 7/16" of wire and wire them to these terminals. Run the wire to the opener motor. Connect the other end of the wires to the two screws(probably labeled red and white) that go to the wall station, polarity does not matter here. ---- Now press the button on the remote and hold it down, as you hold it down on the inside of the receiver push the learn button by the light and let go of both of them at the same time. This should do it. Repeat from ---- for more remotes. If this does not work and it is wired correctly then either the remote or receiver is bad. THanks BB
