Replaced sprocket coupling on SrC GarD opener (53479); works but wont close fnl 3 in.s. What next?

There is not much more detail; I replaced the sprocket coupling and replaced exactly as before. The trolly now stops about three inches too short. Obviously the door does not close completely; I will adjust the travel limit screw but there was no need to do that before.

There is a chance that while you had the coupling off that when it got hooked back up it was in a different position. It should not be a big deal though. I would simply adjust the down limit to the proper position. Believe me stranger things have happened. Make sure the force settings are correct and do a 2x4 safety reversal test afterward and protect the opener with a surge protector. Thanks BB

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
