when I try to program my remote the light on the opener stays on after I push the smart button.
the remote will not program by using the smart button. when I push both buttons at the same time, the opener light stays on. It is supposed to flash once and go off, correct?. I ahve tried numerous times.

If the learn button comes on after you press it and when you press the remote nothing happens than more than likely the remote is dead or the batteries are. To test this make sure the battery is good and WITHOUT pressing the learn button press a button on the remote. If the led light flashes when you press the remote button then you have a logic board problem. If no flash then you have a remote problem.
