If you hold the remote 6 inches from the antenia it will open. I heard there is military radios working on 315mhz that will block the remotes from working. I have tried everything from reprogramming the remotes to unpluging units and starting over. All 3 openers quit the same day. They are only 3 months old. Help!!
That is a false rumor. The fats are that the military took over 390mhz, which is what most major brands operated at. Then they changed to 315mhz so this is not the problem. First find the colored learn button on the back or side of the unit. There is an led light by it. One of the functions of this led is to light up when you are receiving interference. If it is constantly lit then you are receiving interference(but it is not from the military). If you have had this opener and it just started doing this then there are a couple of options. First think of the first time it did it. Did you get a new electrical device. It can be as simple as a blow dryer or up to a new computer or dish. Any thing electrical. The last time i found that a remote from a ceiling fan was doing it. If you can't find the source then you need an external receiver on a different frequency. If that light is not lit up then you will need a new logic board. This new one will also include a new internal receive
