ten year old garage door opener #139.53629srt only opens door approx 2 ft then loses power to
light and to wall control switch for 5 to 10 minutes

I would get a new logic board for this problem. The only other things to check first is to unhook it from the door and check the balance and ease of operation of the door. Also you can check all the leads and harnesses inside the opener. Make sure the unit is unplugged before you check. You can get a new logic board at sears.com. You can get help by phone, chat or e-mail. Have the model # ready. Also get a surge protector as this is usually what causes these types of issues. Thanks BB
