why does my craftsman grge door make a clicking sound sometimes instead of opening or closing?

The door typically works, and works find manually. Sometimes however, when pushing the button (either on thewall of the remote) it will just make a couple of clicking sounds and not move. The sensors apear to be alligned. Thanks!

If the light bulbs are not working sometimes the clicking sound is the light bulb sockets turning the lights on or off. Check the force settings and make sure they are at least at 50%. Make sure the door is balanced and make sure the sensors do not flicker during this period. Sometimes the sensors can be ligned up but if they are on the track and the track moves they can be affected. Make sure you have light bulbs in and if it happens again resubmit with the model # where it was(up or down) when it happened, and any other information that might be helpful. Thanks BB

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
