Will a precast concrete fence add more value to your home than a good wooden privacy fence?

Precast concrete fences are very expensive especially when compared to traditional fences. Will the cost of a precast concrete fence ever be recouped? Is it a wise improvement to make on a house? A precast concrete fence for my house would cost approximately $10,000.

The type of fence that you have normally has little to do with adding value to your home for resale in most cases. It is unlikely that you would recoup much of the cost of the $10,000 fence if you sold your home. Remodeling the kitchen and bathrooms or increasing the size of the home are projects that normally boost the resale value of a home. A precast concrete fence may increase your value by about $1000 in most areas. I would not take this factor into consideration when deciding whether to go with the concrete fence or the less expensive wood fence.

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
