Make sure and check the light bulbs. Some brands of bulbs the stem is not long enough to make contact. Try a plain jane incandecent bulb, ge or something. Do not over tighten. If that does not work unplug the unit and look inside the actual socket. Make sure the opener is unplugged. There is a brass contact at the bottom of the socket. Over time they can get flattened. Pull it up a little bit, enough that you would think the bulb will get contact on both of them. Plug the opener in and insert bulbs and try.

If this does not work you have a problem with the logic board. If it were only one socket I would suggest a new socket. But with both like this you more than likely have taken a power surge and need a new logic board. Sears.com can get a new one if you need it. We recommend a surge protector on all openers. 900 joules or higher. Thanks BB

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
