the garage door openner does not pull the door all the way up and if i disconnect the trolu from it to adjust the bar that comes from the troly to the door then it will not come down all the way. what can i try or do ?
Put that bar at an angle of 300 degrees when the door is closed all the way. This should never be changed. On the side of your opener head casing you will find adjustments that either allow you to adjust the up travel up or down and also the down travel up or down. They are independant adjustments. Familiarize yourself with these before you adjust. You will need a flat head screw driver to adjust. Do not make large adjustments until you see how it works. Find the one that indicates up. There is an arrow on it, if you turn it with the arrow it will allow the door to go farther up before it stops. If your door goes too far up there are alot of problems that can occur. If you need it to close farther or if it is closing stopping and coming right back up you can adjust the down travel. If you follow the arrow on this one it will go down farther. Do a 2x4 safety reversal test afterwards. Thanks BB
