Actually you do not need to grease the chain. You can put a very light coat of silicone on the rail and hit the chain at the sane time. If you ever drive by a garage door and see a black line down the middle of the garage door while it is down then you know they greased their opener. It shakes off on to your car and door when it operates. White lithium is the best if you must grease. We do recommend lubricating the door yearly though, with silicone Thanks BB

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
