How do i program my keypad and remote for my garage door without one knocking the other out?

Opener part number 41A5021-2, Keyless model # 139.53876 and remote model #139.53681B. Soon as I program one it stops the other from working.

Lets try erasing all old codes out, as the receiver can only accept a certain amount. Find the colored learn button on the motor head. It will be on the back or side of the unit. Press and hold it until the led light by it goes out. ----Now press and release the same button and then press the button on the remote. Your light bulb should flash. For additional remotes repeat from---- For a keyless entry press the learn button and then press the 4 digit code followed by the up/down button , again the light bulb will flash.

If you still have the same problem after erasing the codes then you need a new logic board. That will include a new receiver. We recommend a surge protector on all units, 900 joules or higher. You can get a new board sears.com. Thanks BB

Bob_B, You wrote, "If you still have the same problem after erasing the codes then you need a new logic board. That will include a new receiver." Is this a part for the ceiling mounted module or the entire module? Does it have a part number? Where can this part be obtained and roughly what does it cost? I am having the same problem. After a house sitter pressed the Lock button I am unable to reprogram the remotes. At first one would work, but not the second and now I can program neither.

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
