My Kenmore washer just stopped spinning and I was wondering what to check for this problem.
Without a model number and more detail I can't be certain but for the majority of Kenmore washers if they will fill and agitate and the problem is the washer will not spin the most likely cause is an bad lid switch.
On most Kenmore washers a bad lid switch will allow the washer to fill and agitate but it will not allow it to drain or spin. The image below shows how to remove the cabinet and access the lid switch. Some washers have two end caps that must be removed to access the two screws holding the console down. I hope this information helps resolve this problem but submit another question with a model number for more specific information.Member
