My remote & car link garage door openers both quit working today but wall control works.

Craftsman 13953663SRT2. I was leaving to drop my car off at service. Opened the door with the wall control, pulled my car out and hit the button that's programmed (homelink) It didn't work so I grabbed the remote I was carrying for the rent car and it didn't work. I found it odd they both stopped at the same time but I bought new batteries on the way home. Made sure it wasn't locked, then tried to program the remote 1st with the wall control then the with the SRT button. No success either way. Cleared the codes and still can't get it to work. How many minutes does it take to reprogram? Maybe I didn't wait long enough. Any ideas or do I need a repair man?

Try holding the wall button down to close it. If it closes as long as you hold it down then it is the safety sensors. Make sure they both have a light on them and are lined up. Then check the bell wire that powers it.

To erase the codes hold down the learn button until the led light goes out. Then press the remote, the led light should flicker. This tells you weather the board is recognizing the codes. If it does not you need a new logic board. To program the remotes press and release the learn button and then press the button on the remote. The light bulb will flash once. To program the keyless entry press and release the learn button and within 30 seconds press the 4 digit code followed by the up/down button. Again the light bulb will flash once. On the home link make sure to erase the old codes out by holding down the 2 outer buttons until the led light on the car goes out. If the devices do not program in you need a new logic board. Thanks BB

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
