First this would be a good time to check or replace the batteries.

Find the colored learn button on the unit's motor head. It will be on the back or side of it. It will be the only button you can push. Press and hold this button until the led light by it goes out. You have erased all codes out. Now press the remote. The led light should flash when the remote button is pressed. Try all remotes and keypad. If all trigger the led light go on. If only certain ones do then the ones that do not are defective or need batteries. If none do then you either need an external receiver or a new logic board. A new receiver needs new remotes too. A new board you can get to match the frequency. You can get a new one at sears.com, have the model number ready. If all trigger the led light then go on. Now press and let go of the learn button and then press the button on the remote. The light bulb will flash once. For more remotes press and release and repeat the process. For a keyless entry press and release the learn button and then press the 4 digit code followed by the up/down button. Again the light bulb should flash once. Wait 2 min. and try it out. If they do not code you will need a new logic board. We recommend protecting all openers with a surge protector, 900 joules or higher. Thanks BB
