Craftsman garage door opener model 41A3493-1 will open by itself even after changing the switchs
I have a Craftsman 1/2 horsepower model 41A3493-1. The garage door opener will open randomly. I have changed the switch settings on my remotes several times but the random openings continue. What do I need to do to correct this problem?

Try unhooking the wall station. Sometimes if there is a problem inside it this may occur. If that is not it and you have changed the code the only option is a new receiver or a new opener. An external receiver won't even help here because if the old one is faulty it will still mess with it. You can get any of these at sears.com. Thanks BB
