How can I get both remotes to work on my Craftsman garage door opener? It appeared that a battery had died on one of the remotes, it just stopped working. We replaced the battery and found it would not open the door. I assumed that when the battery died, the opener lost the memory and needed to be reprogramed. So, I tried to reprogram using the manual as a guide. I'm able to get the outside remote keypad and one of the openers to program and work but never both the remotes at the same time. It is like they are set on two different freq's and i keep changing it back and forth. Help! 720-641-2349 Craig
First lets erase all old codes out. Find the colored learn button on the back or the side of the unit. Press and hold this until the led light by it goes out. This erases everything. Your opener only operates on one frequency so no need worrying about that.
////Now press and release the learn button and press the button on the remote. The light bulb will flash once. This tells you it has been programmed. For additional remotes follow from////. To program the keypad press the learn button and then press the 4 digit code followed by the up/down button. Again the light bulb will flash once. If you still are having problems then you probably need another logic board with the receiver on it, as the receiver is bad. Thanks BBMember
