My Craftsman rider lopes after 30 minutes of running.

It is a model 917.275180. It runs for about a 1/2 hour, then starts loping and stops. I changed the ignition coil, carb solenoid all filters, spark plug, battery, and removed the fuel cap. There was no change. The carburetor has been rebuilt.

Remove the fuel line from the carburetor and let the gas run into a clean container for 1-2 minutes. The gas should flow a stream the same diameter as the inside of the fuel line. If the fuel flow changes, there is a restriction in the fuel line.

Look in the bottom of the container for any debris from the fuel line. Fuel lines sometimes deteriorate after time and can restrict the flow of fuel.

Remove the bowl from the bottom of the carburetor and check for debris there.

The fuel tank might have a screen on the outlet that is restricted. If this is the case the fuel tank needs to be removed and cleaned.

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
