How do I manually open garage door without a garage door opener?..locked it inside garage!!

If you can get into the garage there is a red string on most openers you either pull it down or back to disengage it from the door. Or the arm that connects the opener to the door can be taken off.
If you are locked out with no way in and all remotes are in the garage then you can install a emergency key release. I would buy one of these first before I started so to know the right size of hole to drill.After you get it, in the instructions it will tell you to drill a hole for the lock cylinder. After you drill this hole in the top middle of the top panel, take a wire hanger and fish to pull this red string down. You will have to pull hard. After you disengage the door you can run it by hand. After that finish installing the emergency keyed release and this can't happen again. One of these should be 25-35 dollars or so.
