Despite intense instruction from manual, can't program both identical remote garage door to work
model 139.53681B Craftsman remotes for garage door opener. Despite following exact instruction in manual and erasing all codes as directed, I cannot get both remotes to work at the same time. As soon as I enter one remote, the other quits working. It used to work. Now it does not. Only one remote works at a time. I need both to work.

If there are too many devices coded in to the unit it will do this. Find the colored learn button again and this time press and hold the button down until the led light by it goes out. This erases all codes. Now press the learn button once and then the button on the remote. If the light bulb flashes then it is coded. Code the other one in too.
