I was wondering how to recent the code to get into my garage. I just bought a home and wasn't told.

My garage door opener is a craftsman model number 13923975SRT1. They never told us the code when we bought the home and we need to reset it.

First this would be a great time to replace the batteries in all devices.

We need to erase all old codes out of the opener or any one who used the old code could get in. Find the colored learn button on the back of the motor unit. Press and hold until the led light by it goes out. This erases all old codes.

Get all the remotes.

>>>Press the same button(like you would a door bell this time) and then press the button on the remote you want to operate the door. The light bulb will flash once to tell you it has been accepted.<<< Repeat from >>> to <<< for all remotes. To reprogram the keypad, press the learn button again, then press the 4 digit code followed by the up/down button. Again the light will flash once. Make sure and do a 2x4 safety test. We also recommend a surge protector 900 joules or higher on all openers. Thanks BB

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
