How do I remove the upper head/housing of an Electric Craftsman 172.745450 trimmer?
I bought a Shakespeare Push-N-Load Blade. In order to install it I need to remove the upper housing of the trimmer. I am unable to remove it. How can this be done without damaging either product?

If you are wanting to remove the housing the spool goes into, you have to remove the screws that hold it to the motor. The guard is a part of this housing and will come off with it.
I don't think you will be able to install a blade on your trimmer.Join this conversation.
