I have to replace the belt on my 139.53964SRT opener. I have found online a belt or a belt assembly? Which one do I buy?
It is a model 139.53964SRT Craftsman 1/2 hp belt drive garage door opener. Do I buy the belt for $7.50 or the belt assembly at $64?

You need the belt assembly. Go to www.searspartsdirect.com and enter the model number of the garage door opener.
Look on the parts diagram, go to the page that shows the rails and the trolley and you will see the belt assembly you need. I don't know what the $7.50 belt is. It is not shown on the diagram.Join this conversation.
